Christmas Island crabs dinner

$45.00$75.00

Oh, little cabs

Little crabs how fortunate we are

You caught a giant fish and such a big fish too

Shall we have it for dinner make a fire and cook it up

Let’s throw it on the barbie and snip it up

Come follow me dear little little crabs

You can all march behind me and take turns to carry the load

Oh, little crabs with bright red shiny shells

Come come scurry along no time to waste dear ones

Let’s have a feast and clap our claws and enjoy the day

Before it draws to an end

There are 20 terrestrial and intertidal crab species on Christmas Island and 13 are true land crabs only dependent on ocean larval growth. Christmas Island is a remote tropical Island and is Australian territory. It is called the crabbiest place in the world. There is an annual mass migration of the red crab to the sea to spawn and is one of the wonders of the world. This takes place once a year after the wet season rains. The crabs get everywhere and are an incredible sight to behold so on the march they all are to the sea.

Printed on quality 200gsm gloss art paper. Packaged and sent in a mailing tube to protect edges.
